Volunteer Meeting for Palestine

Join us at the Atlanta Liberation Center for our Volunteers for Palestine Session!

RSVP Here!

We will plan postering and outreach to build towards the International Day of Solidarity with Palestine.

The Biden administration is continuing to aid and abet Israel’s genocide in Gaza, even after threatening to restrict aid if the genocide did not end “within 30 days.” Trump’s incoming administration will also be hostile to the Palestinian liberation struggle.

We must come together, sustain the movement for Palestine, and build organization to put more pressure on the U.S. government for an arms embargo, no matter who is in power!

The Facility: Film Screening

Fight back against mass deportations!

Join us on Saturday, November 23rd, at 6 PM for a screening of “The Facility,” a powerful documentary exposing the inhumane conditions and struggles endured by immigrants detained at ICE facilities in Georgia. The screening will be followed by a Q&A and discussion with immigrant rights activist Nilson Barahona, who was detained at Irwin Detention Center and is featured in the film.

Trump’s plans for mass deportation threaten to tear apart families, target vulnerable communities, and expand the violent, profit-driven detention system. The United States currently detains over 50,000 immigrants daily, funneling billions of taxpayer dollars into private prison corporations while denying basic human rights to those seeking safety and opportunity.

We must organize and fight back! Come to the event, build connections, and join the movement to end detention and deportations.

THIS FRIDAY! Join us for a live stream conversation with key movement leaders on the current political moment and the struggle for the future.

Donald Trump’s decisive victory in the 2024 presidential election signals a new period in U.S. politics. The Democrats’ inability to speak to the needs of the working class has led to their failure in this election and beyond. We are now presented with the opportunity to build a truly united working class movement to defeat the far right.

We encourage everyone to join us for the webinar watch party at the Atlanta Liberation Center.

You can also receive the link to the live stream by registering here.

Let Cuba Live!

Right now, Cuba is facing a severe crisis as a direct consequence of the 60+ year illegal and inhumane financial and economic blockade imposed by the U.S. government. The Cuban people are facing urgent, life-threatening conditions amidst hurricane damage and devastating electrical blackout, food and medicine shortages manufactured by U.S. imperialism.

We are hosting a night of material solidarity with the Cuban revolution in Atlanta this Friday, Nov 1, 7PM at 541 W Whitehall St SW. Join us for Noche Cubana—win raffle prizes, enjoy the music, dancing, and light refreshments.

Donate here!

As Cuba’s neighbors, we have a responsibility to act and show solidarity. Cuba has a long history of supporting Palestine, other anti-colonial struggles, and the whole world in every critical moment of need, we must do the same for Cuba.

As we continue to organize to break and end the U.S. blockade on Cuba, the PSL, People’s Forum and HATUEY project and others are raising $150,000 to send essential supplies—generators and food—to the island. We have already sent 30 tons of food, help us get another shipment of aid to the island! Let Cuba Live!

National Anti-Police Brutality Day: Vigil

Join us for a candlelight vigil on October 22–National Anti-Police Brutality Day—to honor the stolen lives of victims of police terror. Bring candles & flowers!

Under capitalism, the abuses, torture, violence and racism of the police institutions are absolved. Police are given immunity for their crimes, while working class families await justice for years. Thousands of families across the country are fighting back against an inherently corrupt, unjust system.

The summer rebellion against police brutality and white supremacy in 2020 that brought 30 million people into the streets demanded that the police be defunded. Instead, the capitalist government has doubled down on funding for police and is aggressively pursuing projects like Cop City across the country.

Only a mass movement from below can stop the war on Black America. Join us on Oct 22 for a vigil as part of the week of action and stand with families to demand that killer cops be indicted, convicted, and jailed! Stop Cop City! Defund the police, fund people’s needs! Housing, healthcare, and education for all!

One Year of Genocide, One Year of Resistance: Protest for Palestine

ATLANTA: RESISTANCE UNTIL LIBERATION

In the span of one year, the apartheid state of Israel has killed a projected estimation of 189,000 Palestinians. We hold the United States government 100% complicit and responsible for this genocide because the politicians of both Major parties are sending billions in U.S. taxpayer money to fund Israel’s slaughter, it’s U.S. bombs that have turned Gaza into a graveyard.

The Palestinian people have been courageously resisting a brutal colonial occupation for a century, and we must all stand with the colonized in this fight. The genocidal Zionist project has passed a point of failure beyond which there is no return, due in no small part to the global mass movement that declared that there will be no business as usual until Palestine is free.

On Oct 5, International Day of Action, we recommit ourselves to Palestinian liberation. The people of the world demand a permanent ceasefire, an end to all U.S. aid in money & weapons to Israel, and an end to Israel’s colonial occupation! Justice for Palestine!

ATLANTA EMERGENCY RALLY: No US-Israeli war on Lebanon! End weapons shipments to Israel now!

In the past week, Israel has significantly expanded its assault on Lebanon. After carrying out a series of terrorist attacks last week, they have intensified aerial strikes, killing more than 270 people in Lebanon today alone.

Israel’s relentless attacks in Lebanon and the ongoing siege and genocide in Gaza are made possible by the huge quantities of bombs, missiles, and warplanes provided by the US government. The Biden-Harris administration has continued to provide economic and military means as well as political cover for the expansion of Israel’s genocidal war.

Rally: Legalize Abortion! Repeal the Ban!

Rally: Legalize Abortion! Repeal the Ban!

Join us this Saturday in Atlanta to protest the abortion-related deaths of Amber Thurman and Candi Miller!

We hold the undemocratic right-wing SCOTUS, the GA legislature, and the cowardly Democratic Party responsible! These deaths were preventable if not for the inhumane ban on abortion.

Since Roe v Wade was overturned by the undemocratic Supreme Court, the six-week abortion ban (functionally a total ban since most people do not know they are pregnant at six weeks) has become the law of the land in Georgia. Black women are dying from pregnancy and birth-related causes at three to four times the rate of white women. Half of the counties in the state do not even have an OBGYN. Abortion is healthcare and access to healthcare is a human right that we are being denied!

The Democratic Party will not save us from the far-right agenda! They had a majority in Congress during Obama’s first term and now under Biden for four years, and had multiple paths to securing the right to abortion over the decades, but they chose to not codify the right to abortion into federal law. Once again, the Democratic Party is shamelessly using abortion rights as a bargaining chip to get elected to office in November.

Any civil and democratic right that has ever been won in this country has come from the struggle of the working class in the streets. We must mobilize and fight until everyone has the right to free abortion, on demand, without apology. The Vote Socialist 2024 Claudia & Karina presidential campaign guarantees abortion as a human right.

We refuse to go back and we demand the overturning of Georgia’s six-week abortion ban! Come out this Saturday to stand up and fight back for abortion rights!

Meet Presidential Candidate, Claudia De la Cruz!

Claudia De la Cruz is coming to Georgia!

REGISTER/RSVP TODAY:

The two-party system won’t save us, fight for socialism! Join us for a forum and meet and greet to hear from Claudia on why we need to fight for solutions beyond “lesser of two evils” mainstream politics.

Claudia is a mother, popular educator, community organizer, and theologian. Born in the South Bronx to immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic, for nearly 30 years, Claudia has demonstrated a fierce commitment to organizing for justice for working people at home and to end U.S. empire abroad.

She is running for President of the United States with the Party for Socialism and Liberation with a steadfast and clear conviction that there is a need to build political organizations and a mass political movement independent from the two party system of the ruling class.

The Vote Socialist 2024 campaign—Claudia & Karina—is fighting to end capitalism and the rule of the billionaires, and for a new system that puts the working class in power—socialism. Some key points of the campaign’s platform are seizing the 100 largest corporations from the billionaire owners and using the wealth of society to meet people’s needs, ending all U.S. aid to Israel, ending the racist war on Black America, and more.

After over 300 days of genocide, both the Democratic and Republican Parties continue to fund the Israeli war machine committing daily massacres of the Palestinian people.

Press Conference: fight back against the Democratic Party's attack on our democratic rights!

Press Conference | Thursday, August 8, 11 AM | 2 Martin Luther King Jr Dr SE

The Claudia De la Cruz Campaign gathered 17,000–more than DOUBLE the required—signatures to qualify for the presidential ballot access in Georgia. Despite this, the Democratic Party of Georgia is attempting a flagrantly undemocratic legal attack on third parties and independent candidates to prevent presidential ballot access.

Democratic Party operatives have filed a legal challenge trying to prevent the people of Georgia from having the option to vote socialist in November. Afraid that they cannot secure a victory on the merits of their own political program and record, the Democrats are turning to the courts to block any alternative outside the two major capitalist parties.

It is clear that the Democratic Party believes that the right to ballot access in this country should be reserved only for those who serve the interests of the billionaires and the corporate elites, like their own candidate, Kamala Harris. The democratic Party machine is not a defender of democracy, but its enemy!

The working class people in this country deserve an option in the Presidential elections that stands decisively against war, racism, environmental destruction, poverty, and all the evils of capitalism. The working class deserves a socialist option!

We will fight to stay on the ballot! Join us on Aug 8!

Atlanta Palestine Rally: Surround the Capitol!

We are the red line against genocide!

Genocide should be a red line, but the U.S. capitalist politicians who are fully complicit in the genocide of Palestinians refuse to draw it. On Saturday, July 27, people of conscience will come together to build a red line around the Georgia state capitol to send a clear message: The people say NO to genocide and you will be held accountable!

-Saturday, July 27, 4 PM.

-East Steps of GA Capitol. 227 Capitol Ave SW.

After nine months of the horrific U.S. funded genocide in Gaza, more massacres of Palestinians follow Joe Biden’s renewal of shipments of 500 pound bombs to the Israeli army to continue committing ethnic cleansing. We demand an end to the U.S. government using hundreds of billions of our tax dollars for the past 76 years to fund genocide and occupation.

We continue joining the millions of people who have taken to the streets across the country and the world over the months demanding a permanent ceasefire and an end to the U.S. backed colonial occupation of Palestine!

Protest the Biden/Trump Debate!

Atlanta, Unite for Palestine!

On June 27th, Biden and Trump are coming to Atlanta for their first presidential debate. The two most unpopular candidates in history are supporting genocide in Palestine, and it's on us to stand up and fight back. Let's make our voices heard: FREE PALESTINE! Permanent Ceasefire Now! End the occupation! End all U.S. aid to Israel!

Atlanta is uniting to stand in solidarity with Palestine. June 27th, a broad coalition of organizations will converge for a rally outside the debate at the new CNN Studios, by the intersection of Fowler and 10th St NW in Midtown Atlanta. More and more organizations are joining forces! To sign on to sponsor, sign up at bit.ly/ATLPalSponsor

We demand the President use his power to end this genocidal war. Israel’s violence has killed over 35,000 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, and displaced nearly 2 million Gazans from their homes. This genocide is funded by billions of dollars in military aid from the US government. We call on the President to withdraw US support for Israel, establish an immediate ceasefire, and ensure true peace, justice, and self-determination for the Palestinian people!

Palestine Contingent in ATL Juneteenth Parade

Join the Palestine contingent in the Juneteenth parade this Saturday!

- Saturday, June 22. Meet at 11 AM, Parade kicks off at 12 Noon.
- Intersection of Ebenezer Baptist Church (101 Jackson St NE)

Juneteenth is a distinctly African American holiday commemorating the final death blow against the system of slavery in the United States. Black freedom was won through persistent struggle against the slave masters to the very end. Freedom had to be seized from the clutches of the defeated slaveocracy by Black people acting as agents of their own liberation.

Historically, the Black struggle for equality and dignity has deep connections to the struggles of oppressed people across the world fighting colonialism and U.S. imperialism, including the Palestinian freedom struggle. For over 76 years, Palestinians courageously resist the occupation of their land and fight to end a system of racist apartheid and Zionist colonial brutality supported by the U.S. ruling class.

In honor of Black-Palestinian solidarity, let’s march together in this year’s Juneteenth parade to demand a permanent ceasefire to end the U.S. backed genocide in Gaza. We demand the U.S. government fully fund Black working class communities, not wage endless wars using our tax dollars! U.S. out of the Middle East!

SCAD students condemn the blatant disregard from SCAD regarding the Palestinian people’s suffering in Gaza at the hands of Israel, and the overwhelming number of partnerships with companies that not only directly contradict SCAD’s claim to create an inclusive environment advancing diversity and equity, but directly contribute to tens of thousands of deaths, the cruel, remorseless murders of tens of thousands of Palestinian people, primarily women and children. This is purely hypocritical, opportunistic, and inhumane on behalf of SCAD, and the students are heartbroken to know their tuition contributes to an alliance with such corrupt corporations.

The students will not have blood on their hands for pursuing an education.!
