Women on the Frontlines of Liberation Movements: Study Group

  • Atlanta Liberation Center 862 Martin Luther King Junior Drive Southwest Atlanta, GA, 30314 United States (map)

Honor Women’s History Month by studying women’s revolutionary leadership!

Join the PSL for a study group this Sunday at 3pm to learn how integral the work of women has been in anti-colonial struggles across the world, including Palestine and the Congo. We stand on a legacy of women as militants—not passive victims!

We will read excerpts from Andreé Blouin’s autobiography, discussing her development as a Pan-Africanist organizer and integral part of Lumumba’s government in the Congo. We will also pull from Breaking the Chains Magazine and the 2023 book “Bury the Corpse of Colonialism: The Revolutionary Feminist Conference of 1949.”
