🚫EMERGENCY PROTEST: NO NATIONAL GUARD TO GEORGIA! ICE OFF OUR STREETS!🚫

NO NATIONAL GUARD TO GEORGIA! ICE OFF OUR STREETS!

On Monday, Governor Brian Kemp announced he is mobilizing National Guard troops to assist ICE in its racist campaign of terror.

This action is a clear continuation of the Trump administration’s illegal seizure of the D.C. police department and drive to expand the police state. Trump’s executive orders and statements are a blatant attempt to shred civil liberties, while violently targeting immigrant and Black communities.

Just as the people of D.C. have mobilized to resist and protect their communities, the people of Atlanta will not stand by while our neighbors are terrorized.

The people of Georgia demand the immediate reversal of the Governor’s order! We stand in solidarity with the people of Washington, D.C., and all states facing similar militarized deployments. No National Guard on our streets! ICE isn’t welcome here!

The Enduring Struggle Against Mass Incarceration 🔥

What’s the call? FREE THEM ALL!

When the prison doors are opened, the real dragon will fly out!

Round out Black August with a critical discussion with Eugene Puryear and Vick Dempsey as we expose the roots of mass incarceration, from convict leasing and Jim Crow to the War on Drugs and the modern-day prison-industrial complex. We’ll strategize on dismantling these systems—and building real safety through community power and collective resistance.

✊🏾 ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

Eugene Puryear is an author, journalist with Breakthrough News, and organizer whose work traces the political economy of mass incarceration, linking corporate greed, racial capitalism, and state violence. His reporting is a critical source of information for those of us fighting for freedom, having traveled extensively throughout the continent of Africa and the world, uplifting liberation struggles. His book Shackled and Chained is an invaluable tool for understanding the development of mass incarceration in the US.

Vick Dempsey: In memory of his brother Delrawn “FUBU” Small, killed by the NYPD, Vick fights every day to end police brutality and mass incarceration. He’s a community organizer and justice advocate working to build power with the criminalized and incarcerated, dismantle systems of state violence, and create real safety rooted in community. He turns grief into action and carries his brother’s legacy forward in the struggle for freedom.

ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE: Module 3, Class 3 - The Unfinished Revolution: Black Reconstruction

Summer School for Socialism

Join us as we discuss the history of post-Civil War Reconstruction, one of the most revolutionary periods in U.S. History.

From 1,500+ newly elected black officeholders to public schools and massive land redistribution, newly freed Black communities organized to completely transform society for the benefit of the people, by the people.

While this progress was violently and systematically overturned by the white ruling class, the history of these working-class victories will not be forgotten.

In this class, we will explore what it means to demand a “third reconstruction” and why studying this history is essential to building a more liberating future.

HOUSING IS A HUMAN RIGHT: Housing forum

HOUSING A HUMAN RIGHT!

Join us SUNDAY, AUGUST 10TH @ 2 PM, at the Atlanta Liberation Center to discuss how we fight back against this housing crisis.

Capitalist politicians continue to prioritize corporate greed over the lives of working-class people. Rents are skyrocketing, evictions are rampant, and developers profit while families struggle to make ends meet.

But it doesn’t have to be this way! We must fight for a new system—one where everyone has access to all of their needs to survive and thrive.

We'll explore how local communities are being displaced under capitalism, and discuss what housing could look like under socialism—where homes are built for people, not profit. Whether you or someone you love is facing housing insecurity and is ready to fight for justice, this is the space to get informed, get inspired, and get involved.

It’s time to get organized! All Power to the People! ✊🏾⁩

Revolutionary Queer Art Show

LGBTQ REVOLUTIONARY ART!

Join us Friday, June 27th @ 7pm for “Body of Our Own” — a queer community art show focusing on revolution and liberation.

The Trump administration is waging a war against LGBTQ people, endlessly demonizing and stripping them of their rights. But the attacks did not start recently — every year, hundreds of pieces of anti-LGBTQ legislation are introduced in states across the country, with no action from the federal government to stop it.

But LGBTQ people will not stop organizing, and not stop fighting for their rights or the rights of other oppressed people! The only solution to ending oppression is revolutionary transformation, and building socialism in the United States.

That’s why, on the 54th anniversary of Atlanta’s first Pride Parade, queer artists from Atlanta and across the country will show their artwork about queer struggle, revolution, and socialism!

Hands Off Immigrants! Stop the Deportations!

The Trump administration has unleashed an all-out assault on immigrant communities. Under the false pretense of protecting U.S. citizens, the far-right government has turned the southern border into a war zone, falsely accused immigrants as gang members to accelerate mass deportations, and used ICE to terrorize activists and students for speaking out against the genocide in Gaza.

Trump and his billionaire administration use their racist narrative to blame immigrants for the ills of society – like unaffordable housing and the rising cost of living – when really it’s the billionaires who create these conditions in the first place. This is a distraction from Trump’s billionaire agenda increasing the exploitation of all working people.

We reject their attempts to divide and conquer! Immigrants and non-immigrants alike belong to the same class – the working class. It’s only if we unite, organize, and take action together that we can defeat this far-right assault!

Join us to rally in Lawrenceville, Georgia to demand: Hands off immigrants! Stop the deportations! Free Mahmoud Khalil, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and all victims of Trump’s assault!

Stop the US-Israeli War on Iran!

END ALL U.S. AID TO ISRAEL! Stop the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran!

With the full backing of the Trump administration, the Israeli regime has lit the fuse for a wider, regional war that could easily morph into a global conflict by launching a major, illegal bombing campaign against the people of Iran.

The people of the United States have filled the streets for over 20 months in solidarity with Palestine, demanding an end to the US-Israeli genocide. The US population overwhelmingly rejects war, which only benefits powerful elites, who are simultaneously engaged in violent raids against immigrant workers, repressing dissent, and cutting off access to healthcare for millions of poor and working-class people.

Join us in the streets tomorrow at 7pm at the Israeli consulate to say: Hands off Iran! End all U.S aid to Israel!

MASS PROTEST AGAINST
ICE & RACIST DEPORTATIONS

The Trump administration is deploying the National Guard and heavily militarized federal cops in an attempt to spread terror and intimidate people out of exercising their right to protest against the brutal war against immigrants. But we refuse to be silenced! We have a right to speak out against the racist and anti-worker policies of the Trump administration. Nothing will stop the people – we will take a stand until the raids stop and ICE and the military are off our streets.

It’s no coincidence that the war on immigrants is ramping up just as the administration and their right-wing allies in Congress are preparing to slash Medicaid and food stamps in order to pay for tax breaks for the rich and a massive increase in war spending. If the whole working class unites in this critical moment, we can change the politics of this country and deal a blow to the billionaire agenda of the Trump administration.

If they can get away with using the National Guard and militarized cops to suppress protest in Los Angeles, then that will only embolden the Trump administration to use greater and greater force all across the country, against any expression of dissent regardless of the issue in question. Unless we exercise our right to protest in this critical moment, we will lose it.

For those who believe in immigrant rights, for those who believe in democracy, for the entire working class – now is the time to take to the streets in protest!

The People Stand With Palestine! Protest the 77 Years of Ongoing Nakba

ATLANTA: ALL OUT FOR NAKBA 77 -
THE PEOPLE STAND WITH PALESTINE

For 77 years, the Palestinian people have been subjected to genocide, siege, dispossession, and forced displacement, enduring unfathomable brutality at the hands of the zionist colonial project. This year, the Palestinian people commemorate the 77th year of ongoing Nakba under the zionist entity’s murderous genocidal conditions. Atlanta must rise up on Nakba day alongside cities across the world to declare:
THE PEOPLE STAND WITH PALESTINE, AND THE WORLD REJECTS ZIONISM!

Yet, despite decades of zionist aggression, for 77 years, Palestinians continue to resist, fighting for their land, their liberation, and their return. As the genocide in Gaza intensifies, violence in the West Bank escalates, and attacks on our movement grow, now is the time to show the ruling class that the world rejects Zionism-and that the masses stand with Palestine.
This Nakba 77 March will bring together people from across the world to demand:

1. An end to the genocide in Gaza;
2. A full and immediate two-way arms embargo on Israel;
3. The release of all Palestinian political prisoners;
4. Immediate humanitarian aid and reconstruction for Gaza;
5. An end to the Zionist occupation of all Palestinian land.

Fighting the Billionaire Coup – WE WON’T BACK DOWN!

Join us for the Atlanta stop of a new tour by 2024 Socialist Presidential Candidate Claudia De la Cruz speaking on the people’s fight back against the billionaire coup!

Donald Trump and his administration of billionaires are waging an all out war on our communities. From slashing thousands of jobs for federal workers to massively defunding critical programs that many working class people rely on to survive, in his first few weeks, Trump has made it undeniably clear who his administration is really meant to serve.

At this critical moment, we can’t simply lay down and allow his administration to roll back all the rights that our people’s movements have won. Now is the time to organize our communities and stand up to fight back!

May Day Rally: Stop the Billionaire Agenda!

ATL: This May Day WORKERS FIGHT BACK!

Trump and the billionaires have launched an all-out assault on the working class—from federal workers to immigrant families to veterans. Social security, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, and more are on the chopping block and at risk of being privatized. Their goal? To funnel even more wealth to the top 1% by stripping away the reforms won from the Civil Rights movement, labor movement, and more.

They billionaires are fueling division, attacking “DEI” (a.k.a Black America) and students for protesting genocide, funding wars instead of people’s needs at home, scapegoating immigrants and all while distracting from their real agenda which is to maximize their profits by undoing any legal restraints in place to further exploit workers and the planet.

📣✊ We refuse to sit back while the Trump administration, the far-right and the billionaire class is on the offensive to slash and burn our basic rights! Working people make this country run – that’s why we should control our jobs, housing, healthcare, and education – not the billionaires! We can defend, and even expand our rights, but not if we don’t fight back together!

🌎 Working people of all backgrounds, join us in the streets this International Workers’ Day to show our power and fight back!

Join us for “Trump’s War on Black America and How We Fight Back!”, an organizing event to analyze and discuss the attacks on DEI, affirmative action, critical public services, and its impact on the Black working class in the South!

Trump and his cabinet of billionaires are running a muck in the White House! The far-right wants to roll back the rights won through the 1960s Civil Rights Revolution, a continuation of the Black liberation struggle in the United States.

From laying off thousands of federal workers to privatize social programs like medicare, social security, medicaid, public education, to the attacks on the right to abortion, this offensive by the ruling-class touches every part of our lives. We cannot allow our rights to be stripped!

We will discuss the effects of Trump’s far-right billionaire agenda on Black America, the origins of these attacks, why we must all get organized and fight back, and most importantly, how!

Emory Walkout and Rally: ICE Off Our Campuses, Free Palestine!

EMORY, THE FIGHT IS NOT OVER!

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.Join us on the quad this Tuesday to say hands off our students and community members! We demand the restoration of visas for the four members of the Emory community whose visas were terminated by the Trump administration in their ongoing campaign of terror against immigrants, pro-Palestine organizers and students in an attempt to silence free speech and campus organizing.

Protesting genocide is not a crime! Being an immigrant is not a crime! What is criminal is the US-Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people, and the Trump administration carrying out their billionaire agenda at home, attacking the free speech and basic rights of all working people.

We know that the main goal of these waves of visa cancellations and deportations across the country is to intimidate and incite fear, attempting to immobilize the movement. However repression only breeds resistance! The movement on and off campus will continue as long as any members of our community are under attack, and until Palestine is free!
